About Whitchurch Men in Sheds
The best place OnLine to understand what a "Shed" is is at this web page: www.menssheds.org.uk/what-is-a-mens-shed
Men in Sheds moved in to one room in the "Centre North East" (the building between the Fire Station and Whitchurch Swimming Pool) on June 19th 2017. The rest of the building will continue to be used by other groups as before.
The formal opening of te shed was on August 9th 2017.
This building will be transferring from Shropshire Council to become the "White Lion Meadow Community Centre" run by a specially set up charity registerd as a CIO. The charity will be run by a committee with members drawn from the local community groups who wish to use the building, (one of whom will be the Whitchurch Men in Sheds.)
In the weeks after June 19th 2017, when the building was made available, the Group has been getting set up.
If you would like to make things for yourself or help with community projects MIS provides a workshop area where you can either join in , or do your own thing.
Activities will include woodwork, computers, art and crafts etc.
Why not simply come along and have a cuppa and a chat, read a book or a newspaper and make new friends.
You'll be most welcome.
